Stephen is a highly committed healthcare professional, passionate about ensuring safe and effective patient care, developing, and commissioning high quality service and supporting colleagues in the pharmacy profession. Stephen is a highly experienced healthcare leader, with over 18 years’ experience as registered pharmacist. Currently the Deputy Chief Regional Pharmacist for NHS England in the Northwest leading pharmacy integration across the region. Stephen leads a portfolio career, having gained significant experience in community pharmacy, led a medicines optimisation service for a large CCG, led a contract assurance and delivery function for NHS England and worked at national level as an NHS England Senior Policy Lead.
Stephen has worked with pharmacy organisations, such as the Pharmacists’ Defence Association and Pharmacist Support at national executive committee and trustee level. Stephen has worked with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and NICE in the development of national practice and professional guidance and is trained as a media spokesperson. Stephen has also been recognised by peers and has been designated as Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
